Final Countdown

As my last two days at home roll in, I'm quickly realising how much packing there is to be done!  After a hectic few weeks of college assessments, graduation, friends staying, catching up with people - I haven't left myself much time to get organised! However, for those who know me this will be no suprise! Thought I'd post one last time before leaving to let you know of the changes in my schedule.

I will now be picked up at the airport by Caio, as a friend from Holland is going to be on my flight and will be getting picked up at the same time anyway. This gives us more time to prepare for camp together. As before, I'll be out at camp from Monday 11th- Friday 15th July. There I will have no phone or internet access but I'll be taking plenty of photos! On Saturday 16th - Sunday 17th I'll be getting picked up by my friend Sam and I'm going to spend the weekend with his family and friends. I'm really looking forward to that and it gives Sam and I more time together than we had anticipated.

The following week (18th-23rd July) I'll be on my lonesome, staying at Dot & Caio's house by myself. This will be a good time to relax, study some portuguese and have a proper rest. Hopefully at some point I'll be able to spent time with the Meikle family who will also be on holiday. After my week off I have the opportunity to spend some more time with the ABBA team. On the 25th, 26th and 29th July I will be helping out at Elohim - the rescue house for street boys. On 27th and 28th July I will be meeting up with Delton and Celio to discuss my work with ABBA and the possibility of a future commitment to the team there.

At the beginning of August I will be moving into Casa Semear and spending my remaining days living and working there. Hopefully I'll be able to negotiate some time at the local internet cafe to get some updates sent out. I then fly home on Thursday 1st September and have a two day stop-over in London, returning to Glasgow on Sunday 4th September.

Before I leave I would like to say a huge thankyou to all the messages of support that have been coming in for the past few weeks - it's invaluable to know that people think of me, praying for me and supporting me while I'm away. The fundraising total is now somewhere over £1500. I'll try and update here as much as possible while I'm gone. Please feel free to email me while I'm gone so I can keep up with what's happening at home!
